Damascus (IINA) – UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura has strongly condemned Sunday's bombings in two Syrian cities that resulted in more than 100 people killed or injured, including children.
Mistura condemned “yet another set of car bomb and suicide explosions in Damascus and Homs cities which killed and injured today over 100 people, including children,” said a statement attributable to de Mistura's spokesperson.
The UN envoy said in the statement that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/Daesh) claimed responsibility for the “terrorist acts.”
