ERC launches rehabilitation project of Aden University (WAM photo)

Abu Dhabi (IINA) – The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched rehabilitation project at the University of Aden, Yemen, which includes maintenance work at five main housing buildings and their service facilities, Emirates News Agency WAM reported on Saturday.
Spread on an area of 59,467 square meters, the housing complex can accommodate 1,500 students from various governorates of Yemen as well as students from neighboring countries such as Djibouti and Somalia.
ERC said in a statement that the project is in line with its developmental initiatives being carried out in Yemen. It also announced that the foundation stone for the project was laid in the presence of representatives of ERC and other Yemeni educational figures.
President of the University Dr Hussein Bisalamh, who attended the ceremony, hailed the ERC's qualitative initiatives in Yemen. He stressed that these initiatives would contribute to improving basic services, especially in the academic field.
