Jeddah (IINA) – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani received here on Tuesday British Consul-General in Jeddah and Special envoy to the OIC Mohammed Shaukat.
They exchanged views on the major regional and international issues as well as ways to enhance bilateral relations between the OIC and the UK within the framework of the signed memorandum of understanding and the outcome of the political consultations held in London in April 2015.
Madani also received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC Zainol Rahim Zainuddin, who presented his credentials to the secretary general.
During the meeting, the Malaysian ambassador reiterated the continued support of his country to the OIC and its activities.
The two sides also reviewed some major regional issues in the OIC agenda and discussed means to further improve bilateral relations.
