British Minister for Middle East Tobias Ellwood

London, (IINA) - British Minister for Middle East Tobias Ellwood welcomes the announcement of unconditional pause in Yemen conflict until end of Ramadan saying, “I welcome the announcement by the UN Secretary General on Thursday of an unconditional humanitarian pause in Yemen, until the end of Ramadan,” Foreign & Commonwealth Office reported.
“I recognize the commitment of President Hadi to a pause, and the assurances of the Houthis, the General People’s Congress and other parties that the pause will be fully respected. I underline to all parties the importance of fully complying with this pause, in order to allow humanitarian aid to reach the many Yemenis who are in desperate need of essential supplies, and of exercising restraint.”
The UK continues to fully support the efforts of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy.
