Lausanne, Switzerland, (IINA) – After a long argument on the football match held between Albania and Serbia at the Partizan stadium last October in Belgrade, Lausanne court has decided to give 3 points for Albania.
With these 3 points, Albanian team ranked evenly with Denmark with 10 points for each, Albania has increased it's chance to qualify directly to the European Championship in France.
The court decision has made victory for national football team and Albania alike, it becomes obvious worldwide that Albanian team was a victim of Serbian team aggression during the football match held in October 14, 2014.
In same context, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed the decision, stating that European justice did right its job. Rama invited the Serbian Prime Minister Alexandar Vucic to follow along the return match that will be held this autumn in Albania at Loro Borici Stadium.
It is worth mentioning that the match paused by a referee after rough action committed by Serbian players toward the Albanian ones a bit later of unknown source remote-controlled mini drone carrying the so-called Greater Albania flag that refer to the area covering all parts of the Balkans where ethnic Albanians live.
Security was tight for a game with no away fans allowed which was held against the backdrop of long-running Serb-Albanian tensions over Kosovo, a majority-Albanian former Serbian province that declared independence in 2008.
