Dubai, (IINA) - GCC Secretary General Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has discussed on Monday the latest humanitarian developments in the countries in the region with UN Deputy Secretary General Jan Eliasson, WAM reported.
The two leaders met in the course of their participation in the World Government Summit, which is being held from Monday to Wednesday in Dubai under the patronage of UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum.
They also discussed the efforts being exerted to intensify humanitarian relief aid to reach the refugees in countries that witnessed bloody wars.
The two sides emphasized the importance of the international community unifying its efforts, increasing cooperation and joint coordination among international relief organizations and entities to provide assistance during times of emergency and crises conditions.
