Qatar Emir, Pakistani PM hold talks; agree to boost cooperation

Doha (IINA) – Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held here on Wednesday talks during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The talks between the two sides focused on the promotion of investment opportunities and broadening bilateral cooperation in energy, economy and military fields.
In the political sphere, they discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly the latest developments in the Middle East.
Following the talks, the leaders of the two countries witnessed the signing of an agreement for cooperation on the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources of Pakistan. They also witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) for cooperaiton in the fields of radio and television, health sector, academic research and cooperative sector.
