39 scientists receive Al-Farabi state prize

ASTANA (IINA) – The award ceremony of the Al-Farabi State Prize in the field of science and technology was held in the presidential palace of Akorda.
“Kazakhstani scientists are making a great contributions to the industrial and innovative development of the country,” said President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. 
The president awarded scientists in such complex spheres as "Quantum and collective properties of plasma: theoretical foundations of new technologies," "Development of methods and technologies of space science for the formation of the space industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan," "Industrial realization of developments in the field of metallurgy of lead and gold, which have made a significant contribution to the innovative development of the country and raised the prestige of Kazakhstan in the global technology market" and other categories.
The president stressed that science and technology are pushing horizons of thinking, extending human capabilities. Kazakhstan has established scientific and production centers including the Nazarbayev University and Alatau Park.
