Saudi Deputy Crown Prince holds talks with Russian President

Sochi (IINA) – Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, held talks here on Sunday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
They discussed during the meeting the latest international and regional developments and the situation at the Syrian arena.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who attended the meeting, said President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman have agreed that Moscow and Riyadh should pursue common goals in Syria, including national reconciliation and combating terrorists, according to Russia Today (RT) website.
For his part, Prince Mohammed asserted the Kingdom's keenness to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people, and its supporting stance to solve the Syrian crisis peacefully in accordance with the resolutions of the Geneva Conference 1, in a way that would guarantee ending the tragedies of the Syrian people carried out by the Syrian regime and fending off continuation of the fallout of the crisis on the security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended from the Saudi by Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, Health Minister Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, Advisor at the Royal Court Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the Office of the Minister of Defense Fahd Al-Isa. From the Russian side, it was attended, in addition to the foreign minister, by Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu and Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.
