Qatar's Islamic Dawa Organization builds 123 mosques in Uganda

Doha (IINA) – Qatar's Islamic Dawa Organization has built a new mosque at Rosniga area in Uganda at a cost of QAR 114,000, donated by two Qataris, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
With the opening of the mosque, which can accommodate 700 worshipers, the number of mosques built in Uganda by the funding of the organization and Qatari citizens reached 123.
Director General of the Organization's office in Qatar Sheikh Hammad Abdul Qader said Rosniga area is located 420 km from the capital Kampala and is most in need of mosques and other Islamic institutions, explaining that it is inhabited by 7,000 Muslims who are in need of a mosque to perform prayers and receive teaching of their faith.
He added that Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni recently visited the mosque which is considered as a prominent monument in the area, adding that it was not for the first time President Museveni to visit projects carried out by the Islamic Dawa Organization in his country.
