Jerusalem (IINA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received on Sunday evening a telephone call from EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini.
She expressed, during the call, the European Union's concern about the escalation of the ongoing events in the Palestinian territories, stressing the need to maintain calm.
In turn, President Abbas stressed the need for the Israeli authorities to stop the attacks by Jewish settlers and storming of Palestinian cities and villages, saying that the continued provocations by settlers in Al-Aqsa Mosque would lead to serious consequences.
