Jerusalem, (IINA) - Young children from the Palestinian summer camp and Muslim worshippers intercepted early Sunday an attempt by settlers to climb into Qubbat-Alsakra square in Al-Aqsa mosque.
The worshippers had created human strings in order to stop the settlers from progressing into the square while shouting and cheering Allah’s name.
A group of settlers from the organization "Temple Mount and Eretz Yisrael Faithful Movement," broke Al-Aqsa under the protection of Israeli police, amid a noticeable presence of worshipers, students and summer camp children.
The settlers provoked the Muslim worshipers while trying to climb into Qubbat-Alsakra square and trying to take photos on the steps leading to the area, but worshipers and young stood up, and prevented them from climbing into Qubbat-Alsakra.
