Djibouti (IINA) – Djibouti's Energy Minister in charge of Natural Resources Ali Yacoub Mahmoud held talks in Riyadh on Tuesday with Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali Al-Naimi. Their talks focused on enhancing bilateral relations and raising the level of cooperation in the field of energy, mining and oil.
According to Radio Television of Djibouti (RTD), Mahmoud stressed during the meeting his country's keenness to benefit from the Saudi experience in the areas of clean energy, mining, and environmental issues, noting the successes achieved by Riyadh in raising efficiency of energy consumption.
He explained that this step comes in light of Djibouti's efforts to become the first African nation that uses 100 percent renewable energy by 2020.
