Sudan opens an Emirati corner in its National Library

Khartoum (IINA) - The UAE Ambassador to Sudan Hamad Al-Junaibi handed on Tuesday a selected collection of Emirati books to the Sudan's National Library (SNL), during a ceremony for opening an Emirati corner at the national library in Khartoum, WAM reported.
Sudanese Minister of State for Culture Sayed Haroun and Secretary General of the library Fatima Belail attended the ceremony.
Belail said that the Emirati books represented a valuable addition to SNL. She thanked the UAE embassy for supporting knowledge and scientific research in Sudan.
Haroun praised his country's fraternal ties with the UAE, saying that they had become a role model in all fields, especially in supporting knowledge and enlightenment.
On his part, Al-Junaibi said the UAE attaches great importance to culture and heritage and lauded the progressive relations between the two countries. He also said that the Emirati corner in SNL was part of an initiative to create a corner for Emirati books in all national libraries of the world.
