Ramallah, (IINA) - Palestine's Ministry of Health stated on Sunday that the number of Palestinians who have been killed in Israeli atrocities since the beginning of October has risen to 79. The governmental department also said the number of injured rose to more than 3,000, noting that live and rubber-coated bullets caused most of the casualties, WAFA reported.
The Ministry of Health pointed out that the casualty figures include 17 children and 3 women, one of whom was a pregnant woman and a mother of a two-year-old girl from the Gaza Strip.
A total of 60 Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank, while 18 were killed in the Gaza Strip. One youth from Naqab was also among the dead.
The Ministry said 1248 Palestinians were shot with live rounds since the beginning of the unrest in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Around 1008 Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets.
It stressed that 370 children in the West Bank were injured, 180 with live rounds, 120 with rubber coated steel bullets, 30 with teargas canisters and sound bombs, 40 with physical assault.
