Cairo, (IINA) - The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation said on Friday that it will aim to increase Egypt's production of fish in the next two years up to 2 million tons, Egypt Daily News reported.
The ministry's plan aims to increase the annual per capita fish consumption in Egypt to reach 20 kilograms, said an official in the General Authority for Fish Wealth.
In this context, Egypt plans to build the biggest fish farm in the Middle East in the new Suez Canal axis, the official added.
