Beirut, (IINA) - UAE Ambassador to Lebanon Hammad Saeed Sultan Al Shamsi held talks with Sigrid Kaag, representative of United Nations Secretary General to Lebanon, WAM reported.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest political developments in Lebanon and the region, focusing on the repercussions of the existence of the huge number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The UN official commended the humanitarian role shouldered by UAE in Lebanon.
For his part, the UAE ambassador referred to the UAE's humanitarian and developmental aid to Lebanon, of which the last was the provision of drinking water to 15 Syrian refugee camps in the middle Beqqa area during this summer.
He underlined that the UAE strategy is clear for all, as it backs the Lebanese government and people as well.
