Aden (IINA) – The Popular Resistance fighters, backed by the pro-government forces, retook the city of Aden from Houthi and Saleh militias, Yemen's official news agency SABA reported Thursday.
"Al-Ma'ala district has become free from Houthi and Saleh militias after they fled towards Tawahi district," a source in the resistance was quoted by SABA as saying.
The source stressed that the combing operation of Aden province has begun, calling on the remainder of Houthi and Saleh militias to surrender themselves to the resistance and the forces loyal to the legitimacy for the sake of stemming bloodshed.
The Popular Resistance Fighters, backed by the national army units, managed to retake Ras Imran area and to control the road extended to Al-Waht junction, in Lahij governorate, as well as Beer Ahmed, Khormaksar, Al-Areesh, Aden International Airport and the ports of Aden, the same source added.
