Khartoum (IINA) – Saudi-Sudanese Joint Ministerial Committee on Wednesday concluded its 5th session, which lasted for two days, in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Minister of Agriculture Eng. Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli headed the Saudi delegation in meetings, while Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Eng. Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid headed the Sudanese side.
Wrapping up their session, they issued a final statement explaining that the two sides discussed avenues to enhance cooperation in the spheres of economy, trade and finance as well as continued coordination to remove obstacles, increase investments and activate the private sector's role.
According to the statement, the two sides also discussed cooperation in oil and mining to attract more Saudi companies to Sudan, in addition to issues related to increasing the area of agriculture, the agricultural support services and manufacturing industries. Ways to boost cooperation in communications, education, Islamic culture, media, and youth and sports affairs were among the issues discussed.
