Rabat (IINA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) condemned Saturday's terrorist bombing in the Saudi city of Al-Dalam, 100 kilometers southeast of the capital Riyadh. The terrorist organization Daesh has claimed responsibility for the incident.
ISESCO said in a statement that targeting the land of the Two Holy Mosques with terror operations is an evidence that this organization is an agent for anti-Islam conspiracy parties. The organization confirmed that it stands by Saudi Arabia in its fight against terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), an interior ministry spokesman said a person was killed by an improvised explosive device which targeted a security patrol vehicle parked near Al-Dalam police center, in Al-Kharj near Riyadh. He added that the police opened an investigation into the incident, which took place on Saturday, but gave no further details on the victim's nationality, who was referred to as a resident.
