11 Saudi students enter finals of top science contest

Jubail City, KSA (IINA) - Eleven talented Saudi students from the Eastern Province have made it to the finals of the Intel Science Talent Search contest (Intel STS 2016) that will be held in the United States soon, Arab News reported.
Director General of the Eastern Province Education Department Abdulrahman Al-Mudairs said: “This was a result of the government’s investment in the country’s young people.”
Al-Mudairs thanked the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) for assisting the competitors.
The finalists are Turki Al-Turki, Ibtisam Al-Mozainy, Mohammad Al-Hammadi, Hassan Al-Saif, Mohammad Al-Sadiq, Ajwad Al-Subaih and Hossam Al-Qallaf.
The others are Dana Al-Awami in cellular microbiology, Haifa Mohammed Ahmed and Reham Al-Zahrani for biochemistry, Yasmeen Al-Saif for chemistry, and Fatimah Al-Sheikh for plant sciences.
