Jeddah, (IINA) - Prince Sultan bin Salman, board chairman of the Saudi Disabled Children’s Association (DCA), has demanded that careless drivers be defamed in public, Arab News reported on Tuesday.
He made the demand during his speech at the opening ceremony of the “God Gives you Goodness” campaign for safe driving.
The DCA has adopted the campaign with the cooperation of the General Directorate for Traffic.
"The campaign will turn out to be the best in the Kingdom because it adopts a human and national cause", Prince Sultan said. “This is important for all the segments of Saudi society”.
Prince Sultan also inaugurated the same campaign at the headquarters of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, which he heads, in Riyadh.
“It is an exceptional campaign on safe driving because of its lofty goals to raise awareness among the Saudi youth through social media, reaching out to them in schools, universities, during sports events and via companies that sell cars”, he said.
The Prince noted that there is an active and mutual partnership with the education sectors, aiming to raise safety and traffic awareness among students who drive cars.
“This (campaign) is expected to be the best method to increase awareness and target a specific segment of society”.
