Sudan re-elected as chairman of Conference of Presidents of Arab Supreme Courts

Beirut (IINA) – The 6th Conference of Presidents of Arab Supreme Courts which kicked off its session in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Monday re-elected Sudan Chief Justice Haider Ahmed Dafalla as chairman of the Conference, Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported.
Dafalla presided over the sittings of the conference and thanked the delegates for their confidence in him and expressed hope that peace and stability would prevail in Lebanon and all the Arab states. He also called for exerting more efforts to realize justice in the Arab countries.
The conference discussed three working papers presented by representatives of each of Mauritania, Kuwait and Lebanon on issue of limiting the term of litigation. The conference will discuss on Tuesday the issue of separation of powers.
According to SUNA, participants in the conference include, in addition Sudan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Palestine, Kuwait, Mauritania and Lebanon.
