Riyadh, (IINA) - The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is hosting the 19th meeting of the GCC news agencies here on Thursday, WAM reported.
The meeting set to discuss the joint work of the news agencies and other topics including the memo of the GCC General Secretariat pertaining to the electronic portal. The portal will be the GCC's reference for documented news and information about the GCC states.
The participants are discussing the activation of photo exchanges on official occasions, cultural and heritage festivals held in the GCC states.
According to QNA, senior officials of the GCC news agencies will also discuss views of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on a report on integration among GCC states and giving priority to the joint Arab action during the current year.
It is noteworthy that the technical committee of GCC news agencies met on Wednesday to follow up the technical proposals it received from GCC news agencies. It discussed a number of technical issues including news agencies' mobile applications.
