Riyadh (IINA) - Saudi Arabia’s Ministries of Interior and Islamic Affairs are considering appointing security guards at all the mosques in the Kingdom where Friday prayers are held.
The move comes as a precautionary and regulatory measure to protect the mosques from attacks or any other anti-social activity, media reported on Friday.
The ministry will bear the costs arising out of guards’ salaries as official and treat the jobs as official and formal, and they will be subject to controls and procedures that will be defined later, the sources added.
