Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature to be presented on Tuesday

Muscat, (IINA) - The 4th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature 2015 will be presented in a ceremony to be held next Tuesday at the InterContinental Hotel in Muscat, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
This edition is generally allocated to the Arabs in the areas of the Arabic language studies, calligraphy and children's literature.
Each winner will receive RO 100,000 and the Sultan Qaboos Order for Culture, Science, Arts and Literature.
The total number of contenders for the award in this edition amounted to 408 including 119 in the Arabic language studies, 83 in calligraphy and 206 in children's literature.
The award-presentation ceremony will announce areas of competition at the 5th edition of the 2016 award, which will be allocated for Omanis only.
The Qaboos award is granted by Sultan Qaboos Bin Said annually since 2012, one year for the Arabs and the next for the Omanis.
