Riyadh (IINA) – Saudi Arabia's General Secretariat of Supreme Magistracy Council has confirmed that the formation of the Islamic Military Alliance, comprising 34 countries, is a blessed step towards the fight against terrorism and its extremist ideology, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
"The development of terrorism and its mechanisms, forms, manifestations, the multiplicity of its sources, and different sources make it imperative to take such a blessed step to fight it, drain its resources and eliminate sources of funding," said Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al-Nashwan, secretary general and Spokesman of the Council.
"The Islamic Alliance announces to the whole world that terrorism has no religion, and all have suffered from it, which requires decision-making process on the ground aiming at combating terrorism and responding militarily in accordance with the programs and mechanisms to support the joint efforts of countries allied to stand united against this serious challenge that surrounds the nations, undermines the security and threatens their stability," he added.
