Azerbaijan sends humanitarian aid to Tajikistan

Baku, (IINA) - Azerbaijan has sent humanitarian aid on Sunday to Tajikistan, which was hit by a strong earthquake on December 7, Trend reported citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The humanitarian aid was sent in accordance with the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The humanitarian aid is valued at 800,000 manats, and it was sent by a ferry from Baku International Sea Trade Port.
It consists of 9.5 tons of sugar, 9.5 tons of granulated sugar, 15 tons of rice, three tons of tea, over 16 tons of vegetable oil, 19 tons of flour, 19 tons of macaroni, over 18 tons of vermicelli, 2,000 sets of bed linen, 50 generators, 110 tents, 6,000 square meters of iron slate and 30 cubic meters of boards.
The sending of the humanitarian aid was attended by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Faig Taghizade and first secretary of Tajikistan’s embassy in Azerbaijan Salimi Khatloni.
