Makkah governor to open Jeddah International Book Fair tomorrow

Jeddah, (IINA) - Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah and adviser of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will open on Friday Jeddah’s International Book Fair in South Obhur.
The book fair expects the participation of 440 publishing houses from 25 Gulf, Arab and other countries.
To Mark this occasion, Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, governor of Jeddah and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the 11-day Book Fair, praised Prince Khalid Al-Faisal's patronage of the event that enriches the intellectual and literary movement.
The event is organized by Makkah governorate, Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information, Jeddah’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ace Group. The fair is expected to draw around 70,000 visitors each day. The fair will include poetic nights, cultural workshops and other literary events, with special arrangements for women. The last international book fair held in Jeddah was in 2006.
