Morocco signs military agreement worth $38 million with US company Raytheon

Rabat (IINA) – Morocco signed an agreement worth $38 million with U.S. military company Raytheon Co., McKinney under which Morocco will receive 200 thermal receiver units, Morocco World News reported.
The agreement has been authorized by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the only authorized agency in the US to agree to such deals, according to U.S. Department of Defense.
“Raytheon Co., McKinney, located in Texas, was awarded a $38,157,300 firm-fixed-price foreign military sales contract (to Morocco) for 200 thermal receiver units” underlined the same source.
Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and Morocco should receive the units at an estimated completion date of August 27, 2017.

Raytheon has already produced AIM-9X Block II Missiles for Morocco and other Arab countries for a total of $227 Million.
