Baku, Azerbaijan (IINA) - The Government of Azerbaijan has exempted citizens of the UAE from the entry visa requirement, WAM reported.
Ahmed Al-Dhaheri, acting undersecretary for Consular Affairs at UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the ministry received a memorandum from the government of Azerbaijan, which included the resolution of the visa waiver for the UAE’s citizens.
Citizens of the UAE will obtain a 30-day visa on arrival at any of the international airports in the Republic of Azerbaijan for US$50.
Al-Dhaheri added that the visa waiver resolution underscored the growing ties between the two countries, which will further boost joint cooperation in the future.
It is noteworthy that Sheikh Mohammad Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, visited Azerbaijan capital city of Baku to meet with President Ilham Aliyev. The talks from his visit resulted in economic and emergency readiness agreements between the two countries, The National reported.
