Jerusalem, (IINA) - Israeli police on Sunday prevented around 20 Palestinian women from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque while allowing Jewish settlers' entry into the mosque’s compound, WAFA reported.
Special Israeli police units have set up metal barricades near Al-Aqsa Mosque, and imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinians who attempted to fend off settlers from touring the mosque’s compound.
During the settlers' tour, worshippers at the mosque chanted religious slogans protesting settlers’ provocative acts inside the mosque compound.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli police have banned Palestinians from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque several times before under the same pretext.
