Amman (IINA) – Jordanian Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Abdullah Ensour discussed here on Tuesday with Turkish Air Force Commander Gen Abidin Unal military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting between both officials dealt with ways to boost cooperation between the two countries' air forces in the field of training and the exchange of expertise.
The Jordanian Prime Minister welcomed the Turkish general and said his visit is of a political nature and will reflect on cooperation between Amman and Ankara.
Ensour noted during the meeting that Jordan is working to achieve peace and stability in the region, stressing that the Kingdom does not interfere in the domestic affairs of others and had "no arms operating outside its borders".
For his part, Unal noted that Jordan had a key role to bring peace and stability in the Middle East, adding that both Jordan and Turkey were suffering from the repercussions of the Syrian crisis as they host millions of Syrian refugees.
