Nigerian army rescues 16 families from Boko Haram in Adamawa state

Lagos (IINA) – The Nigerian army has confirmed the killing of two Boko Haram insurgents and the rescue of 16 families in Madagali area of northeastern state of Adamawa, Xinhua reported.
Commanding Officer in-charge of 28 Task-force Battalion Ezugwu told reporters via telephone that the success was recorded Tuesday night during clashes with the insurgents in Madagali Area.
Ezugwu said more than 100 cows were recovered alongside two AK-47 rifles, six grenades, two machine guns and 18 motorcycles from the fleeing insurgents.
The officer lauded the complementary effort of members of a vigilance group in the area for their support to the military.
It is to be noted that Boko Haram insurgents recently attacked villages in Madagali.
