Jordanian FM discusses Palestine with UN Mideast peace envoy

Amman, (IINA) - Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Nasser Judeh on Tuesday met with UN Middle East Peace Envoy Nikolay Mladenov and discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, Petra reported.
During the meeting, Judeh called for an immediate cessation of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and said such acts constitute gross violation of international laws and treaties. He spoke about Israeli violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its compound, pledging that Jordan will continue to counter any Israeli violation against holy shrines in Jerusalem.
The UN official commended Jordan's efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East and said he was keen to maintain constant coordination with the Kingdom.
