Rabat, (IINA) - The Islamic Educational, Scientific and of Cultural Organization (ISESCO) denounced on Thursday the Israeli attacks against journalists who were on their duty covering protest marches in Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The Israeli forces caused the injury of around 39 reporters and photographers by using live, metal, and rubber ammunition.
ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri said that the attacks on Palestinian journalists who are performing their duties is a flagrant violation of Security Council resolution No. 2222, which was adopted on May, 2015 regarding the protection of journalists, media professionals and associated personnel.
Furthermore, Al-Tuwaijri demanded that the perpetrators of these attacks get the appropriate punishment. He also called on the Director General of the UNESCO to condemn these criminal attacks.
