 Riyadh, (IINA) - Saudi security officials have detained around 34 suspects, including four foreigners, in the bombing of the Emergency Special Forces Center Mosque in Asir last Thursday, Arab News reported.
Thirty of those detained are Saudi citizens, while the other four are from Syria, Bahrain, Yemen and Pakistan, according to the Ministry of Interior.
Arab News contacted Pakistani and Bahraini diplomatic missions on Wednesday to find out details about their nationals arrested for their alleged complicity in the crime but they refused to speak on the subject, saying that “it is too sensitive.”
But, a report published in a section of local Arabic press confirmed that a total of 34 suspects have been arrested so far in the bombing case.

The attack, the third to occur this year, killed 15 people and injured 30.
On the same day of the terrorist attack, authorities swung into action and arrested seven suspects, while 10 more suspects were detained the following day.
Another group of 15 suspects were arrested on Sunday and Monday, said the report. According to the information posted on the ministry of Interior’s portal, “all suspects are being questioned and still under investigation.”
Saudi Arabia has so far detained 4,453 terror suspects including 710 foreigners with alleged terror links.
The number of Saudi nationals arrested on alleged terrorism charges totals 3,743.
It is noteworthy that the ministry of interior has intensified its efforts to round up terrorists to foil any attempt to destabilize the country.
