Tripoli (IINA) – Libya's western cities of Alzintan and Alrujban signed early Wednesday a reconciliation agreement with Az-Zawia city, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The agreement provides for the ceasefire and stemming bloodshed between the three cities. It also states the withdrawal of all forces from the neighborhoods to their headquarters, opening of all roads, free movement of goods, and non-blocking traffic on the main road linking the mountainous cities with the Libyan capital Tripoli.
Further, the three cities pledge, under this agreement, not to use any of their land as launching points for attacks against other cities.
A tripartite follow-up committee was formed to monitor the implementation of the reconciliation agreement and to rally support for the army and police to enable them do their duties in harmony.
