OIC condemns the terrorist attack in Turkish City of Suruc

Jeddah, (IINA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist suicide bombing that occurred on Monday, in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border, leaving at least 28 people dead and wounding 100 others.
The OIC Secretary General, Iyad Madani, pointed out that this terrorist act is a result of an extremist and deviant ideology, and considered the perpetrators devoid of any sense of empathy, humanity or religious restraint.
While, conveying his sincere condolences to the government, people of Turkey and the families of the victims and prayed for the recovery of the injured OIC chief called for exerting more effort at the international and regional level to fight terrorism as a dangerous threat to global peace and security.
The OIC chief reiterated the OIC’s principled and firm position condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and that any act of terrorism cannot be justified regardless of motives, place or time or whom ever is the perpetrator.
