Thursday 09 Jul 2015 - 13:36 Makkah mean time-22-9-1436 Gaza (IINA) – July 7 marked the first anniversary of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, during which Israeli warplanes destroyed nearly 300 mosques ranged from complete destruction of 73 to partial destruction of 205, including some ancient mosques that date back to the Mamluk and Ottoman eras. Head of the Turkish Department of Religious Affairs Muhammad Gormaz announced, during his visit to Gaza last May, that "Turkey is ready to rebuild the mosques destroyed over the three Israeli aggressive wars against the besieged enclave, and to offer models of Ottoman mosque architecture for the mosques, at a cost of up to $50 million."
