Grand Mufti of Australia annouced Friday first day of Eid al Fitr

Canberra, (IINA) - The Grand Mufti Office of Australia announced in a statement issued on Thursday that Friday 17th July, will be the first day of Eid al Fitr al Mubarak.
“The Grand Mufti office of Australia represented by his Eminence, the Grand Mufti Dr Ibrahim Abu Muhammad, along with the office members, in conjunction with respected scholars and the Federal Council of Australia Imams (ANIC), would like to take the opportunity of the current blessed days of Ramadan to send a message of peace to all Australian Muslims and implore all Muslims towards unity and righteousness,” the statement said.
“We announce to the Australian Muslim community that the first day of Shawwal 1436H will be observed on Friday.”
“We ask God to accept everyone’s fasting and all their acts of worship and good deeds during the holy month of Ramadan and whish every Australian Muslim a peaceful and happy Eid al Fitr,” the statement added.
