Morocco, Italy kick off 8th session of political consultations

Rabat, (IINA) - Moroccan and Italian foreign ministries kicked off, here on Monday, the 8th session of political consultations, Morocco World News reported.
During these consultations, chaired by Delegate Minister to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mbarka Bouaida, and Italian Deputy Foreign Minister, Lapo Pistelli, both parties stressed the new momentum which characterizes bilateral relations in the latest years in the prospect of a renewed strategic partnership, the ministry of foreign affairs and cooperation said in a statement.
The two parties also discussed regional and international questions of mutual interest, especially those related to the problem of migration, the same source added.
They also tackled the recent creation of the Italian Agency for International Cooperation and the possibility of carrying out Moroccan-Italian projects in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
They also tackled the new reflection concerning the European neighborhood policy based on a new approach, which promotes an efficient and homogenous North-South regional integration.
The two officials agreed to support the parliamentary dialogue between the two countries and create a Moroccan-Italian inter-parliamentary forum.
