Jordan PM discusses with Bahraini officials bilateral relations

Amman, (IINA) - Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Thursday received the Bahraini parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mullah, Petra reported.
During the meeting, Ensour reiterated the depth of ties between his country and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Further, he noted the special and brotherly ties between King Abdullah and the Bahraini Monarch Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. 
While reviewing the latest developments in the region, the premier affirmed that Jordan is closely monitoring its borders to prevent the smuggling of drugs, weapons and human trafficking, while reiterating that the security and stability of the Kingdom is closely linked to the security and stability of the Gulf Arab states.
Ensour also affirmed that Jordan, which is surrounded by turmoil, managed to maintain its security and stability and remained a safe haven thanks to the Jordanian people's awareness and Hashemite leadership's wisdom.
For his part, Bahraini MPs noted the depth of ties between Jordan and Bahrain, affirming that the security and stability of the two Kingdoms are closely connected. Further, they praised the role played by Jordan to defend the Palestinian cause.
