Yemen's FM Yaseen

Riyadh (IINA) – Yemen’s Foreign Minister Riyadh Yaseen on Wednesday requested the Arab coalition forces to save Aden, the largest city in the country’s south, from the Houthi rebels and forces loyal to ex-President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Yaseen said in a press conference in Riyadh that the rebels shelled al-Tawahi district in Aden, as well as the families that were trying to flee the fighting, causing the death of more than 50 civilians."
The minister asked the coalition forces to save Aden, and called the international community to intervene, noting that "the Houthi militia's escalation in Aden is an attempt to thwart the Riyadh dialogue", to be held on May 17.
For his part, Yemeni Minister of Human Rights Izz al-Din Asbahi called for an "emergency session" of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation in Aden. He said, "The fall of al-Tawahi district does not mean at all the fall of Aden in the hands of the Houthi rebels”.
