Jordanian FM, EU official discuss cooperation

Amman, (IINA) - Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh and European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitri Avramopoulos, discussed here on Wednesday, ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. They also reviewed major developments in the region, Petra reported.
Both officials discussed joint programs and arrangements for facilitating visas entry to the European Union (EU) and ‏the migration and mobility partnership between the EU and Jordan, which was signed during the meeting of justice and home affairs ministers in Luxembourg last year.
Further, they highlighted the current partnership between Jordan and the EU, especially the excellent relations based on the advanced status of their partnership.
Also, they discussed the latest developments in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen while stressing the importance of reaching a political solution.
During the meeting, Avramopoulos expressed the EU’s appreciation for Jordan's key role in the region under King Abdullah's leadership.
