Jerusalem (IINA) – The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) has demanded for an Arab and Islamic firm position towards the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque, before it is too late.
In a statement to mark the Isra and Miraj Day on Sunday, Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf said: "The unprecedented upsurge in violations of settlers and Israeli occupation forces against Al-Aqsa Mosque, requires an Arab and Islamic serious stance to put an end to these violations, which have become a real threat to Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards.
He added that the persistence in these violations is indicative of disregard by the Israeli occupation and its racist components for Al-Aqsa Mosque and the symbolic status it holds among Arabs and Muslims all over the world, which requires a decisive stance before it is too late.
