Tuesday 17 Mar 2015 - 15:07 Makkah mean time-26-5-1436 UK Muslims launched campaign on Sunday to thank mother’s day celebration (gsalamwriter.com) London, (IINA) - As the UK marked Mothering day on Sunday, Muslims community in this occasion have launched a campaign to honor mothers by appreciating everything they do and launching a fundraising appeal for “Mother & Baby Kits”, OnIslam reported. The campaign, was announced on the Muslim Vibe site, says, “Join us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tell us what you want to thank your mother for using #ThankYouMother.” Britain is home to a sizable Muslim minority of nearly 2.7 million, based on the country’s latest census in 2013. This step from the Muslim community in Britain on Sunday came as a reminder of the virtue of showing kindness to mothers, with the daily encouragement from the Qur’an and the living example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who said: "Do good to and serve your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then the near relatives and then those who come after them."
