Paris (IINA) – Leader of French extreme right-wing Front National Party Marine Le Pen said that "there is no Islamophobia in France, but there is a growing anti-Semitism phenomenon”.

In an interview with the British daily newspaper Financial Times, Le Pen said that the anti-Muslim acts are very few and do not exceed the number of violent acts against women in France.

She considered what was reported by the French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) about the increase in anti-Muslim acts in France as "incorrect."

The French Council of the Muslim Faith reported that the escalation in anti-Muslim acts in France for last January was “unprecedented”. This was also confirmed by French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve.
