Paris, (IINA) - French police have arrested four people linked to Amedy Coulibaly, the gunman and hostage-taker at a Parisian kosher supermarket on January 9, a Paris prosecutor's spokesman said, media sources reported.

A French policewoman is among the four taken into custody, French national police said.

Those arrested are believed to be associates of Coulibaly, who stormed a kosher supermarket and killed four people in Porte de Vincennes.

Two of those being held are a man who was initially arrested on January 23 and his female police officer partner, according to Europe 1 radio.

The policewoman worked at the Fort de Rosny-sous-Bois, northeast of Paris, the spokesman said.

According to Le Figaro newspaper, the Fort de Rosny-sous-Bois is the location of an important intelligence center.

The officer, who reportedly converted to Islam two years ago, is suspected of checking a police file without the authorization of authorities for a man in connection with him.

The man is believed to have met with Coulibaly in the days leading up to his attack on the Jewish kosher store in Porte de Vincennes, in which he killed four people.

According to AFP two others who had links to Coulibaly were also being questioned by officers in Paris.

French police have been investigating the deadly three-day attacks in Paris in January, which left a total of 17 people dead.
