Monday 28 Sep 2015 - 19:22 Makkah mean time-15-12-1436 New York, (IINA) - Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al Jubeir met here on Monday with the President of the Syrian National Coalition for Revolutionary and Opposition Forces Khalid Khoja at the headquarters of the Saudi\ Permanent Mission to the UN on the sidelines of the 70th UN General Assembly session, SPA reported. During the meeting, they discussed the Syrian crisis in all its aspects, its latest developments on the international arena, ways to support the legitimate rights of Syrian people and the preservation of national and regional unity of Syria under its sovereignty and independence. Prince Turki Al-Kabeer, undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Multiple Parties’ Relationships, attended the meeting. AG/IINA

Monday 28 Sep 2015 - 19:20 Makkah mean time-15-12-1436 (Image from OHPI's website) Canberra, (IINA) - The Australian Online Hate Prevention Institute (OHPI) has launched an online system to fight islamophobic remarks and hate speech on social networks, SBS reported. OHPI recorded an alarming rise in anti-Muslim remarks and decided to make every effort to fight this phenomenon. OHPI officials stressed the importance of reporting abusive remarks against Muslims on OHPI’s online system called “Samih”, which was designed to monitor anti-Islamic content. The developer of Samih system Andre Oboler said: "The phenomenon of Islamophobia on the Internet continues to rise, and this is due to the fear of the prevailing turbulence in the Middle East in addition the growing crime rates of terrorist groups such as ISIS". He added: "The new project helps victims of Islamophobic remarks on the Internet through providing them with the means of reporting those remarks, which may lead to the removal of such content". Monday 28 Sep 2015 - 19:18 Makkah mean time-15-12-1436 Photo: Bloomberg London (IINA) – UK Prime Minister David Cameron has announced that hundreds of British troops will be sent to Somalia and South Sudan to train African peacekeeping forces in order to foster “less terrorism and less migration”, news agencies reported. “Our commitment to peacekeeping operations will help to alleviate serious humanitarian and security issues in Somalia and South Sudan,” he said in a statement. Up to 70 personnel will join a UN contingent supporting African Union troops fighting al-Shabaab movement. Cameron offered a further 250 to 300 troops to help with engineering work, combat training and take an advisory role in South Sudan. The prime minister, who will officially announce the support at the UN General Assembly summit in New York on Monday, said the approach could help curb migrants coming to Europe. Conflict between forces loyal to President Salva Kiir and his former deputy Riek Machar has forced more than 2.2 million people from their homes in the state, which broke away from Sudan in 2011.
